Liberia Meets Sierra Leone on FIFA Match Day Featured

Liberia will play Sierra Leone on June 5, 2017 in Monrovia in an international friendly football encounter at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

The Liberia Football Association said it has accepted a request from the Sierra Leonean Football Association for the game to be played on FIFA International match day in Monrovia.

Both countries are preparing for the 1st round qualifying matches of the 2019 African Cup of Nations scheduled for Cameroon.

According to a release from the LFA, a 30 member strong Sierra Leone Football delegation will arrive in Monrovia this weekend to honor the fixture.

Liberia is expected to fly to Harare where the Lone Star will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe while the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone will host the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Freetown on the weekend of June 8 to 10, 2017.

 The national team has been training for the last few weeks at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
