The head coach of the national football team has named five professional players to face Kenya in international match day in Nairobi on Nov. 15.
Coach James Salinsa Debbah is expected to use three debutantes in that match.
They are Spain-based Joel Johnson and former Manchester City striker Alex Nimely. Nimely, who currently plays in Romania for FC Viitorul Constanta, will be making his first debut for the nation’s pride, Lone Star.
Brazilian born Liberian goalkeeper Boison Wynney de Souza, 19, who plays for CD OLÍMPIC DE XÀTIVA in Spain’s Tercera Division (3rd division) will also make his international debut.
William Jebor, Anthony Laffor and Oscar Dorley complete the lineup of players invited for the Kenya game. Invitations have been sent to the players and they will join local players by November 12 in Nairobi, Kenya, according to the Liberia Football Association.
Meanwhile, 29 local based players have begun training at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in preparation for the game. The players will be in training until the team departs on November 11.
A 25 man delegation will fly to Nairobi, Kenya, to honor the international friendly. Coach Debbah and team are expected to use the Kenya friendly as part of preparations for the next round of African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
