Liberia Football Association President (LFA) Musa Bility has being qualified to contest an executive committee seat in next month’s Confederation of African Football (Caf) elections.
Mr. Bility failed in his attempt to contest for a Caf Executive Committee seat four years ago, and was in 2015 denied by Fifa Adhoc electoral committee from contesting for the Fifa Presidency, but Caf electoral committee has cleared him along with seventeen other candidates to contest the executive committee seats this time around.
Musa Bility is wants to represent the West African Zone A at the caf Executive Committee.
Mr. Bility will challenge incumbent Executive Committee Member, Amadou Diakite of Mali for the West African Zone A seat at the Caf EC when the election takes place in March.
At a news conference Wednesday, Mr. Bility said he has done all it takes to win the seat this time around.
He said he has held series of consultations with Stakeholders on the continent to vote him to the Caf Executive Committee.
“We hope we have done enough to gain the confidence of our colleagues on the continent to give us the opportunity to serve at the confederation of African Football (Caf)” said the Libreian FA Boss.
At the same time, the LFA Boss says the Local Football House and the Youth and Sports Ministry are collaborating in the upkeep of the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
He said Football is run by the LFA, as such it will work with the Sports Ministry in managing the ATS.
The LFA President also disclosed that Fifa has approved the construction of the Liberian Football headquarters.
He said the construction of the LFA headquarters will begin in earnest.
