Premiership outfit Manchester City are within touching
distance of winning their first top flight crown in 44 years
as they have two matches against ambitious New Castle United
and relegation threatened Queens Park Rangers.
The star saturated squad under the Italian Roberto Mancini
which has as a very fringe member Liberian youngster Alex
Nimely are busy with the next 180 minutes, but from a
Liberian perspective the question is will they think on
recalling their 20 year old Liberian striker next season?
Nimely was earlier loaned to Championship side Middlesbrough
where he failed to score a goal in nine matches. He was then
loaned once more this time to Coventry City also in the
Championship where he managed just one goal in 17 matches
which could not help the club from avoiding the drop. But,
with the Citizens are thinking on bigger projects and
looking to strengthen the already talent packed squad with
some other top notched players round the world, it seems
Nimely’s chances of reuniting with the club is unlikely.
With the likes of the rampaging Sergio Kun Aguero, the
reignited Carlos Tevez, the controversial Mario Balotelli
and the lethal Edin Dzeko largely responsible for keeping
out of the squad the ex-Mighty Barrolle man and more high
profile signings looking imminent for next season, Nimely
could continue his loan spell with other clubs to see off
his contract with the club or just be sold in parting
company with the sky blue outfit that are regarded from a
Manchester perspective as the “noisy neighbors”.
