Weah Jr. Battles Relegation

The son of African football legend, George Weah at age 24, has so far failed to step into the golden shoes of his father. Having featured for Milan Juniors and clubs in Switzerland and other modest leagues, George Champ Weah, Jr. is now on the books of Bulgarian top flight side Kaliakra Kavarna where according to reports from the likes of soccerway wears the number 13 jersey and is yet to score in the ten matches he has played.

The midfielder’s club is set to be relegated at the end of the season as they have played 29 games with just 11 points, and no matter how many goals they win with in their last match, they will be relegated.

With Weah Jr. club Kaliakra Kavarna second from bottom in the 16 teams league, it remains unclear what will the next option be for the 24 year old midfielder. Whether he will see of his contract with the club or link with his representative to move elsewhere is what remains to be seen.
