“We Are Still
In Search Of Coach” -Says LFA

Caretaker Coaches Thomas Kojo and Kelvin Sebwe
Friday, 20 April 2012
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has dismissed media
reports in the country that it has appointed a ‘weak’ head
coach for the national football team of Liberia, the Lone
Star.
Making the clarification in Monrovia, LFA Public Relations
Officer (PRO) Henry Flomo said the football house is still
in search of a head coach for the national team the Lone
Star.
“For the record, no coach has been appointed by the LFA for
the country’s top job, contrary to some media reports,
whether weak or strong we are yet to appoint a coach”, Flomo
clarified.
The Lone Star of Liberia has been without a coach since the
sacking of Italian coach Roberto Landi in February of this
year, while Thomas Kojo who took over as care-taker coach
for the match against Namibia has since left the job.
It is still not clear when the new head coach of the
national team will be name, as time is running out for the
Lone Star to start preparing for their world cup and African
cup qualifiers matches against Senegal and Namibia
respectively in June.
