Liberian Player Likely to Miss Senegal’s Match

Liberia's prolific play maker, Tonia Tisdell, is likely to
miss the senior Lone Star crucial fixture away to the
Tarenga Lions of Senegal on June 2, 2012. Tonia Tisdell, who
plies his trade in the Turkish top flight with Mersin Idman
Yurdu, broke his toes in Turkey before returning to Liberia
for vacation.
The young stylish play-maker made things worse when he again
damaged same toes during a practice section at a local field
in Paynesville, outside Monrovia over the weekend.
The Liberian midfield star was seen hopping from the pitch
in tears and is currently
seeking medical attention.
Tonia was recently called to the 22-Man senior national team
by newly appointed head coach, J. Kaetu Smith, as the
country prepares to play three crucial matches in June.
Liberia fist fixture is June 2, 2012 away to Senegal and
then hosts the Paslanca Negres of Angola on June 7, 2012
before going away to play the Zebra of Namibia on June 16,
2012.
