Persebaya Surabaya and Liberian International
midfielder, Tarkpor John Sonkaliey was on the score sheet in the
Indonesia Super Liga when he led his team, Persebaya to a 2 - 0
crucial victory over PSM Makassar on Sunday, December 13, 2009 in
continuation of the league.
According to information posted on the Indonesian
as well as Persebaya website, the 23 year old Liberian scored from a
brilliant free kick in the 68 minute of the match.
The goal is the first for the more than three
caps Liberian International, who is an integral member of Persebaya in
just his first season for the second biggest city of the largest
Islamic nation.
Tarkpor is expected to lead Persebaya Surabaya in
another battle against Persiba Balikpapan on December 16, 2009 as the
league heats on.
