Sports Ministry Issue Stern Warning

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

The Director of Public Affairs of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Mohamed V. Kamara has issued the rules governing the match between Liberia and the Republic of Congo on Sunday.

According to him, fans of the Lone Star should govern the rules and regulations in order to safeguard the national team from a US$21,000 imposed on the country following the mach with Senegal.

He noted that the fans should not urinate in cans and throw same on the playing pitch, and that they should not throw objects at the crowd, they should not jump over the fence, gate or the playing pitch and they should not disrespect the national team players and officials by insulting or wasting water or spitting at them.

Mr. Kamara stated that any misguided fans will be put out of the field so as to secure the needed goals and he spoke against the throwing of people over as the UNMIL officers would be there.

“Please keep your tickets stub because we will make sure everyone buy a ticket.”

As stated by Mr. Kamara, if these rules are not observed, there would lead to a ban for the national team as was done to Mali”.

H assured that the security would be more important than that of the previous matches.
