The members of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) on
Saturday, December 13, elected a new leadership for the next two
years.
Isaac Yeah of DC 101 defeated the incumbent Henry Flomo 29-14 in the
race for the presidency.
Horatio Willie of Radio Veritas emerged as the new SWAL vice
president with 34 votes after he contested without opponent.
In the race for the position of Secretary General, I. Solo Kelgbeh
of the Inquirer celebrated a 25-18 win against Julu M. Johnson, Jr.
of The News News Newspaper and Liberiansoccer.com.
Albert Jaja of the Telegraph was elected Assistant Secretary General
with 35 votes although he was unopposed.
