Sogbandi Calls For LFA Officials Resignation

 by Horatio Bobby Willie
Tuesday, 31 October 2006

The President of a local football club has called for the immediate resignation of the country’s three top football officials.

The President of first division club Zelor FC said the officials needed to resign because they were not running football the proper way.

Mr. Melvin Sogbandi said the constant confusion among the three officials were not healthy for the growth of football in the country.

Mr.Sogbandi said if the officials fail to willingly resign, he would lobby with members of congress to declare a vote of no confidence in the LFA Executives.

The LFA Executive Committee has been divided into two factions with the President Cllr.Izetta Wesley heading one group while Vice President for Operations Adolph Lawrence heads the other.

But the Zelor President says this is wrong and called on the LFA to settle its internal crisis.
He threatened his team would not participate in he league if the current trend continues.

Mr.Sogbandi claimed LFA President Cllr.Izetta Wesley, Vice President for Administration Pennoh Bestman and Vice President Operations Adolph Lawrence have betrayed the cause for which they were elected.
