Sherman Acquires Jerseys For Lone Star

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

An aspirant for the Liberian presidency Counselor H. Varney G. Sherman has presented a set of jerseys to the national team Lone Star.

Cllr. Sherman, who is expected to become the Standard Bearer of the Liberia Action Party (LAP), made the donation on Friday at the Kailondo Hotel in Sinkor. Lone Star has been camping at the Kailondo Hotel ahead of the match against the Lions of Teranga of Senegal, which comes alive on Sunday at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

Cllr. Sherman said he thought to purchase the set of "Diadora" jerseys for the national team while returning from his recent visit to the United States.

The jerseys were received on behalf of the Lone Star by the Secretary-General of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Yanqueh S. Borsay and the Vice President for Operations Siaka A. Sheriff.
