SWAL Wants Sports Academy Bill Pass into Law

The Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) is calling
on the members of the National Legislature to pass the
Liberian Sports Academy bill into Law. According to SWAL,
the Liberian Sports Academy bill when pass into law will see
the construction of modern sports Academy in the country.
The Liberian Sports Academy Bill was submitted by Margibi
County District #2 Representative, Ballah Zayzay. Meanwhile,
the leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia
on Monday held consultative meeting with House Speaker, Alex
Tyler about the Liberian Sports Academy bill. Speaker Tyler
commended SWAL leadership for positively engaging members of
the Liberian parliament on the Liberian Sports Academy Bill.
The Liberian Speaker has vowed to work with colleagues to
pass the Liberia Sports Academy Bill into Law. Speaker Tyler
said when constructed the Sports Academy will help train
thousand of Liberian youths to develop their sporting
career. At the same time, SWAL President Fombah Kanneh said
the local sports written body will continue to positive
engage the law makers until the Liberian Sports Academy bill
is passed into Law.
Mr. Kanneh also want the members of the 53rd Legislature to
increase the country`s sports budget and help the Ministry
of youth and sports to improve the National Country meet
where County will bid for the event just like Olympics
Games. The soft-spoken SWAL President said the Liberia
Sports Academy will offer sports management courses and also
help train thousand of Liberian youth to develop their
sporting career. Meanwhile, the Liberian sports Academy bill
has received huge support from member of the 53rd
Legislature. |
