SCM
Commends LFA's Congress Delegates
March 21, 2006
Despite the defeat in last Saturday's FA elections, the Siaka Sheriff
Campaign Manager Andy Qaumie has commended the congress delegates,
especially those who supported Mr. Siaka Sheriff for the Presidency.
Speaking to The Liberiansoccer.com by phone, Mr. Qaumie said they are
highly grateful to them for the support despite the loss in the
elections.
He said the support to Mr. Sheriff in the just end FA elections, which
the incumbent President Izetta Wesley won by two points margin,
clearly shows that they fought a comparative race.
The SCM boss further called on the supporters not to feel discouraged,
adding the game of football is a unifying force and they are winners.
According to him Mr. Sheriff is prepared to work with the Wesley-led
administration in moving the game forward in the country.
He, however, used the occasion to congratulate Madam Izetta Wesley for
the victory as LFA first female elected President.
He said he hopes that President Wesley would see the mandate by
Congress Delegates as challenge in moving the game forward in the
country.
Madam Izetta Wesley last Saturday won her incumbent Vice President
Siaka Sheriff 45 to 43 points to run the football house for the next
four years.
