Removal Awaits Two LFA Executive
Committee Members
By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.
Two Executive Committee members of the Liberia Football Association
(LFA) run the risk of being removed from their posts.
Those involved are Abayomi Caulcrick and Peter Kabia,
representatives of second and first divisions respectively on the
Executive Committee of the LFA.
Reports gathered say the club plan to remove the two LFA officials
on grounds that their clubs have qualified for upper divisions.
The information has it that there was no need for Mr. Caulcrick to
still be representing second division clubs after his club Devereux
reached the first division.
A second division president anonymously revealed that a meeting has
been planned for the Board Room of the LFA on Saturday to decide the
fate of Mr. Caulcrick, also Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports.
As for Mr. Kabia, it is said that his removal is imminent in that
the NPA Anchors that he hailed from to become first division
representative is now in the premier league.
“We can’t have people in the first division seeking the interest of
the second division. Definitely, there will be a conflict interest,”
a club executive argues. |
