Preview of LFA Weekend Matches

Final matches to climax the first face of the Liberia
Football Association (LFA) Cellcom Sponsored 2011-2012
premier league chase will take center stage this weekend
across the country with more exciting matches taken place to
determine who finished at the top of the table.
In today’s first match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS)
down town Monrovia, Exodus will take on Young Pro at 2:00pm
in the first division league title race, while in the
premier league, Invisible Eleven (IE) will battle Watanga FC
in the day’s second encounter at 4:00pm and LPRC Oilers and
Monrovia Club Breweries will climax the day’s event at the
same venue at 6:00pm.
ST. Joseph FC will entertain Bassa Defenders at 4:00pm in
the only match to be play at the Smell No Taste playing
pitch in Unification Town, Margibi County.
Still in Margibi County but this time at the Nancy B. Doe
Stadium in Kakata City, Gbaisue FC will come face to face
with ELWA United in the first encounter at 2:00pm; the last
match will see Millennium FC taking on Mighty Electron at
4:00pm.
And on Saturday May 19, Gedi & Sons will meet FC Satellite
in the only match to be played at the Smell No Taste playing
pitch in Unification Town at 4:00pm in the first division
league title race.
In other matches scheduled for this Sunday, which some
described as the big showpiece to determine who finishes at
the top of the LFA premier league table to climax the league
first face, will see Jubilee FC who is currently in the
third position on the on 27 points from 14 matches played
will lack horns with Barrack Young Controller (BYC) who is
currently topping the league table on 29 points from 14
matches played at 6:00pm at the ATS in what is expected to
be a do or die encounter.
Other matches to be played at the ATS, 72nd FC will host
Small Town FC in the day’s first encounter at 2:00pm, while
Barrack Young Controller II will come face to face with
Defense Guidance in the day’s second encounter at 4:00pm.
And in some other results, Margibi based Mighty Blue Angels
defeated Devereux FC 3-0 on Wednesday at the ATS to move out
of the bottom of the premier league table, while UMC Roots
went down to United Soccer Ambassadors (USA) 1-0 at the same
venue .
