Frank Seator Speaking To Pres.
Sirleaf At The ATS.
The president Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has ordered the country's
footballing authorities to keep the senior National team, the Lone
Star in order to makes strides in the not too distant future.
Speaking at the parlors of the Foreign Affairs Ministry where she
held a reception in order of the team on Tuesday Madam Sirleaf
stated, "Keep the tam together. Though we lot the game to Cameroon,
I was impressed with the performance of the players. By this we will
do wonders".
The Iron lady further noted, "we have to train longer together to
win matches and as well avoid the confusion that somehow
overshadowed the game recently".
The Liberian leader then used the opportunity to thank the players
for the match, and presented a purse of USD5,000 to them as while
they hold together for the next match against Equatorial Guinea on
June 17.
Speaking on behalf of the ministry was Deputy Sports Minister Marbu
Richards who thanked the president for her continuous support to the
national team.
He noted "we have players from far away who have come to play for
their country", he further indicated that "we have another match on
the 17th of tis month and we know you will be on hand to support the
team".
LFA boss Sombo Izett Wesley also thanked the president for her
numerous support to the Lone Star and urged her to continue her
effort.
She also said "we want to thank you for the mediatory role played
recently prior to the match and hope we all wok together", she
intimated.
Speaking on behalf of the plaers was the captain Frank Seator who
thanked the president for her support to the national team, and wish
her well at the highest office in the laand. He also notd "we will
always be willingto serve our country in whatever way, and mother we
will make you proud", he concluded.
The reception coincided with the 23rd Birth Anniversary of the goal
scorer in the match against Cameroun. The gritty midfielder Stephen
Mennoh was congratulated by the gathering as they sang happy birth
day song in his name.
