Philibert Browne Takes Over Olympic Committee

The president of the Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) Philibert S.
Browne has been elected to the presidency of the Liberia National
Olympic Committee (LNOC) for the next four years.
After serving as Vice President for Technical Affairs, Mr. Browne
defeated the incumbent president, Mrs. Deborah J. Williams, 27-4 on
Saturday.
Atty. Sylvester D. Rennie was reelected Vice President for
Administration while Joseph F. Willie became Secretary-General, both
without opposition with 24 votes each.
Mr. Charles Cummings beat David S.K. Kollie 26-5 to become the new
Vice President for Technical Affairs. Aaron Nawuoh (21 votes) was
elected Assistant Secretary-General as Avenzo Z. Mulbah retained the
post of Treasurer with 22 votes. |
