PROLA
Endorse Jerico For Lone Star
By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

The Promoters of Liberian Athletes (PROLA) have endorsed the
appointment of Frank Jerico Nagbe
for the post of head coach of the national football team of Liberia,
the Lone Star.
The appointment of the NPA Anchors coach was announced over the
weekend by the Liberia
Football Association (LFA) as head of the Lone Star ahead of the
team's match with the Eagles of
Mali this weekend.
The president of PROLA Joseph Farkollie stated that Jericho is the
right man for the job
considering the latter's marvelous records with La-Modelle, Junior
Professional, St. Anthony and
now NPA Anchors.
Mr. Farkollie described Jericho as a fine gentleman who, he said, has
been tested. He expressed the hope that Jerico proves his confidence.
"We hope he moves the nation to nobler heights in continental
football," the PROLA boss added.
Mr. Farkollie, notwithstanding, noted that it would be needless to
have Jericho without the
necessary support.
Therefore, he called on the LFA and the Sports Ministry to back
Jericho with financial, material
and moral support.
"The good about Jerico is that he knows footballers as he was one of
the finest talents
we had in the 1970s.
"PROLA congratulate the LFA and Jericho and wish him success in his
endeavors," Mr. Farkollie
concluded. |
