Omega Misses UEFA Football

Towering center back Omega Roberts will not be playing UEFA league football next season as his club Sloboda Sevojno have missed out in booking a place in the top flight competition.

Omega and co were in a rather precarious situation going onto last weekend’s final league matches as they were hoping to win their match and at the same time hope that the duo of Vojvodina and Jagodina slip.

But, despite Omega’s club 1-0 win against OFK Beograd, the other two clubs went on to win to the dislike of Omega and co. Jagodina on Sunday pinned Radnicki 1923 1-0, while Vojvodina defeated second place Crvena Zvezda 2-1 to dash the hope of Omega’s Sloboda as they ended with 51 points like Jagodina. They only fell short on goal difference of +7 against +14.
