by Horatio Bobby Willie
Monday, 16 October 2006

The Liberia Football Association knock out final failed to produce a winner at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Sunday afternoon

Mighty Barrolle and NPA Anchors match had to be abandoned due to poor visibility.

The teams were playing to 2-2 draw in extra time when the game was called off.

Mighty Barolle took an early lead in the match.

The premiership champions scored through an Eric Weeks strike in the 10th minute.

In the 16th minute Augustine Kettor scored the equalizer form a penalty kick.

NPA doubled the lead in the 18th minute from a Vatalis Sie brilliant effort.

After that goal both teams settled to a fine display before Mighty Barrolle leveled the score in the 53rd minute.

It was Eric Weeks who scored again from an excellent strike.
The Liberia Football Association will announce a new date for the knock out final.

Meanwhile, NPA Anchors Deputy Coach says lack of focus before the goal rubbed his team of victory over Mighty Barrolle.

Coach Raymond Moulton told Star Radio that his players were responsible for them not lifting the knockout title on Sunday.

The game was called off during extra thirty minutes of play due to poor visibility.

But coach Moulton wants the game to be played for the remaining minutes

The President of the Barrolle Sports Association says he’s optimistic that his club will win the LFA triple championship.

Mr.Garmondeh Karnga said Barrolle has the players to win any title in the country.

Speaking after his club’s 2-2 draw with NPA Anchors, Mr.Karnga said he would beat NPA whenever the game is rescheduled.

There are calls for the game to be played for the remaining fifteen minutes.
