The Government of Liberia says it has no plan to give the SKD Sports
Complex a new name.
Assistant Sports Minister Murphy Gray said those spreading such
rumors were not doing well for the reconciliation process.
Assistant Minister Gray said the name SKD Sports Complex would
remain on the stadium.
He said government was getting ready to receive the stadium from the
Chinese Government later this week.
He also stated that Chinese engineers at the stadium were now
printing the name of the late Liberian president on the front view
of the stadium.
Assistant Minister Gray disclosed a football match would climax the
ceremony.
The game will feature the local Lone Star against Senior Pro that is
made up of a group of former national team players.
James Salinsa Debbah and Jonathan Sogbie are expected to lead the
former Lone Star players.
