New IE Vice President Outlines Plans

I

In the midst of reports that the camp of "Sunshine Yellow Boys" Invincible Eleven (IE) is in disarray, the club is said to have named Malike Dukuly and Samuel Farkollie as Vice Presidents for Operations and Player Welfare respectively.

Dukuly earlier served as Financial Secretary, while Farkollie was previously Assistant Secretary General of IE.

Newly appointed IE's vice president for Operations, Malike Dukuly said "Sunshine Yellow Boys" will lift this year edition of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Official
National Season (ONS) title whether it be premier or the normal first division chase.

Following his preferment recently, Mr. Dukuly told The INQUIRER SPORTS that he intends to restore the lost spirit to the team having observed that fans are frustrated.

Outlining the plans he envisage for IE during his tenure as vice president for Operations, Dukuly wants coaches of IE to make sure old players of the team justify their inclusions before being registered during the forthcoming league season.

Having succeeded the vocal Edward Forson, Dukuly expressed disappointment over his predecessor's decision to resign.

According to Dukuly, Mr. Forson's resignation stemmed from frustrations relative to lack of support to IE but said the former IE vice president for Operations is still a bonafide member of the Yellow Family.

"I would had advised Mr. Forson not to resign if I knew about it sooner", Mr. Dukuly said.

The new IE Vice President for Operations, meanwhile, denied claims that certain players have left the club, saying, "the players were just frustrated."

He praised coaches and technicians for their performance during the past season and admonished them to work together during the next league season.

"We will make sure players will be fit or else they will be asked to leave the team," Dukuly threatened current players of IE.

"We will make sure we will keep the promises made to the coaches and players," Dukuly promised. Mr. Dukuly said, come the next league season, IE will be eyeing the championships unlike the past season.

Touching on the reported resignation of Mr. Sam Browne as Vice President for Fan Club Affairs, Mr. Dukuly said he only got the information by newspaper reports and rumors.

In a related development, Mr. Dukuly commenting on an alleged rift between he and his predecessor said, "our personal matter cannot be dragged into an administrative problem if there any."

"Forson is my brother. We are in the process of reconciliation," Dukuly said.
