NPA Anchors have won a special three-day football tournament.

NPA Anchors whipped Barrolle in two of their best out of three matches played at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium during the weekend.

The Anchors won the last game on Sunday courtesy of a Vitalis Sieh strike late in the second half.

NPA won the game 1-0.

Barrolle won the opening game of Friday 3-1 while NPA dragged Barrolle 5-1 in game two on Saturday.

The head coach of NPA Anchors in an interview after the game called for early preparation of his team ahead of their CAF Cup showdown.

Coach Darlington Boye said it would be important for his team to go to camp early.

Coach Boye praised his players for their performance in the weekend tournament.

Meanwhile, the female version of the competition between Earth Angels and Pro Anchors failed to produce a winner.

The sides settled to the same number of points and goals in the three-day fray.

On Sunday, Earth Angels upset Pro Anchors 3-0 in the last game.

The second game between the sides finished 1-1 while Pro Anchors won the opening game 4-1.

The three-day best out of three series was organized by the LFA Baller Social and Athletic Club to test the strength of Barrolle and NPA Anchors ahead of the regional football showdown.
