NPA Anchors Meet Senegalese Opponent

The Anchors of the National Port Authority (NPA) will take on US Goreenne of Senegal in the preliminary of the 2007 Confederations Cup.

The match has been scheduled to take place at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on Saturday, January 27, 2007.

A 25-man delegation of the Senegalese club arrived on Thursday, January 25, 2007 and is lodging at the Kailondo Hotel.

The referee and two assistant referees landed in the country on Wednesday, while the Match Commissioner came from Niger . The fourth official is from Liberia .

The full NPA Anchors squad has already moved to camp at the Adolphus Lodge in Gardnersville with the launching of “Operation Drown Goreen”.

The NPA Anchors leadership, headed by President Jimmie Toe, has commended the NPA management for supporting the club in honoring the match.

The technical staff of the NPA Anchors, led by head coach Darlington Boyd, has assured that victory is certain and that players are in high spirit though they would be making their debuts in CAF competitions.
