Mulbah’s Gets Overwhelming Victory!
-Elected SWAL Assistant SG

Brilliant sports writer Roland M. Mulbah, who writes for Champions Sports, SportsDay and liberiansoccer.com was overwhelmingly elected as Assistant Secretary General in the Saturday, January 30, 2010 elections of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL).

The young remarkable pen pusher, who has won numerous awards in such great career, walloped his opponent Moses Garzeawu of Star Radio 30 votes to 14 at the Headquarters of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL).

Many keen followers of SWAL including veterans described Mulbah as the ideal person for the secretariat of SWAL and believed his ascendancy at the secretariat of such great association will see the association move to higher heights.

Mr. Wleh Bedell, who is now Public Relations Officer of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and former Assistant Secretary General of SWAL, noted “Mulbah’s rise as a sports writer has been dramatic and he is one who has the heart for the profession”.

The coming on board of Mr. Mulbah as Assistant SG of SWAL will add value to the organization which will get on the road in moving to the next level.

“His silky style of writing coupled with his enthusiasm, passion, desire and urge to promote Liberian sports are all salient reasons the vastly admired pen pusher is the right man at SWAL secretariat.

Another veteran, Henry Flomo, who formerly served as President of SWAL said “Mulbah is innovative, workaholic, amicable, tolerant and he is as well a team player who brings a lot to the SWAL secretariat”, Mr. Flomo who is now at the General Auditing Commission (GAC) indicated.

The newly elected SWAL Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Roland M. Mulbah told reporters that he will live up to his platform in taking the association to higher heights.

“Fellow Pen Pushers, I want to thank you today for the confidence you put in me in such an Overwhelming Victory as SWAL Assistant Secretary General.

“I can assure you that I will live up to my platform in helping to take SWAL to another level,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Formah Kanneh won Julu Johnson as Vice President, while incumbent President, Mr. Numennie R. Williams, incumbent Secretary General Mr. D. Webster Cassell and Incumbent Treasurer Mr. David Johnson all won unopposed.
