Mulbah’s
Gets Overwhelming Victory!
-Elected SWAL Assistant SG

Brilliant sports writer Roland M. Mulbah, who
writes for Champions Sports, SportsDay and liberiansoccer.com was
overwhelmingly elected as Assistant Secretary General in the
Saturday, January 30, 2010 elections of the Sports Writers
Association of Liberia (SWAL).
The young remarkable pen pusher, who has won
numerous awards in such great career, walloped his opponent Moses
Garzeawu of Star Radio 30 votes to 14 at the Headquarters of the
Press Union of Liberia (PUL).
Many keen followers of SWAL including
veterans described
Mulbah as the ideal person for the secretariat of SWAL and
believed his ascendancy at the secretariat of such great
association will see the association move to higher heights.
Mr. Wleh Bedell, who is now Public Relations
Officer of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and
former Assistant Secretary General of SWAL, noted “Mulbah’s rise
as a sports writer has been dramatic and he is one who has the
heart for the profession”.
The coming on board of Mr. Mulbah as
Assistant SG of SWAL will add value to the organization which will
get on the road in moving to the next level.
“His silky style of writing coupled with his
enthusiasm, passion, desire and urge to promote Liberian sports
are all salient reasons the vastly admired pen pusher is the right
man at SWAL secretariat.
Another veteran, Henry Flomo, who formerly
served as President of SWAL said “Mulbah is innovative,
workaholic, amicable, tolerant and he is as well a team player who
brings a lot to the SWAL secretariat”, Mr. Flomo who is now at the
General Auditing Commission (GAC) indicated.
The newly elected SWAL Assistant Secretary
General, Mr. Roland M. Mulbah told reporters that he will live up
to his platform in taking the association to higher heights.
“Fellow Pen Pushers, I want to thank you
today for the confidence you put in me in such an Overwhelming
Victory as SWAL Assistant Secretary General.
“I can assure you that I will live up to my
platform in helping to take SWAL to another level,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Formah Kanneh won Julu Johnson as
Vice President, while incumbent President, Mr. Numennie R.
Williams, incumbent Secretary General Mr. D. Webster Cassell and
Incumbent Treasurer Mr. David Johnson all won unopposed.
