Ministry of Youth & Sports announces County Meet Kick-off

The Ministry of Youth & Sports has announced that this year’s national county meet will officially kickoff at six venues around the country.


The Sports Ministry in a statement Thursday said the competition would be played in three southeastern counties along with counties in the central, north and western regions.

The statement named the counties as Maryland, Cape Mount, Rivergee and Grand Bassa.

The other counties are Montserrado and Lofa.

The National County meet is expected to kickoff on December 10.

Sports Minister Jamesetta Wolokollie will go to Maryland County for the kickoff while Deputy Minister for Administration Jeremiah Witherspoon will be in Montserrado County.

Deputy Minister for Sports Marbue Richards will grace in the opening ceremony in Grand Cape Mount County AND Sam Hare will lead the pack in Grand Bassa County.

Two other Assistant Ministers will be in Lofa and Rivergee Counties
