The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the
names of officials for Sunday's classic fixture involving Liberia
and Cameroun.
According to the release Malian center referee Coulibaly Koman
would be assisted by his fellow countrymen, Berthe Moumini and
Haidara Mamoudou as assistant referees number one and two
respectively.
The Match Commissioner is the Liberian Augustine Gooding.
Center referee Oman is no stranger to Liberia as he has refereed
games previously at the ATS.
Firstly, he served as center referee when the Lone Star dumped
the Scorpions of Gambia in the preliminary of the 2004 Nations cup.
In that match Lone Star after loosing the corresponding fixture
2-0 in the Banjul put up a heroic performance when they eliminated
their opponents 3-0, thanks to a solitary strike from the then Greek
based striker Zizi Roberts and a brace from the now out-of form
Isaac Tondo as the Lone Star qualified for the group stage.
Referee Koman was also center referee when the visiting Ethiopian
female team buried the host 4-0 in the first round tie of the
Beijing Olympic.
The highly experienced referee has been officiating at the finals
of the African Nations cup since Nigeria, Ghana 2000.
