Liberia won the first leg 1-0 on February 29 in Monrovia. The decisive moment in the game came after Dioh Williams found the back of the net to convert one of a number of chances created by the home side.

The Lone Star needs to win or put up draw against Namibia to qualify for the group stage of the 2013 Nations Cup.

Liberia is ranked 124th in the global FIFA monthly Coco cola ranking and 37 in Africa. Namibia is ranked 134th in the world soccer ranking and 41 in Africa for the month of June. Indeed Liberia is above Namibia in latest FIFA ranking for the month of June. Both Liberia and Namibia are building their respectively national teams for future tournaments.

Meanwhile, Lone Star Coach Kaytu Smith is hoping that his team will put up a great performance against Namibia in the 2013 Nations Cup this weekend.

Coach Smith has named veteran defender George Gebro as the new Lone Star captain to replace expelled Anthony Laffor.

Geroge Gebro was part of the famous Geroge Weah Eleven that qualified for the 1996 and 2002 Nations Cup in South Africa and Mali respectively. The veteran Liberian defender is hoping to repeat that history.
