Lone Star Players Still Without Perdiem

What can be described as a very disheartening and further lack of organization as far as the running of the Lone Star is concerned is the decision to take players to Equatorial Guinea for a friendly match without a dime as perdiem.

It can be recollected that the team left from Liberia on Tuesday, August 13, without perdiem and even after the match three days larter, the players continue to be irritated as there are no perdiem with no member of the technical crew or administration of the FA saying anything relative to the players perdiem.

With such ugly issue the question is are we really serious or ready to go the the African Cup finals at the expense of big spending and slightly organized Nigeria or even want the Lone Star to be on par with its counterparts in various parts of the continent?

If players are yet to get perdiems which in fact should have ben received before departing Liberia where they could even leave some funds with their families, what more of a journalist writing this story?

But, the brutal truth is that we are not just ready and are very far off the mark as far as making gains in our football.
