According to Frank Jericho Nagbe, the actual wedding ceremony was held in Mali on December 1, 2006 but that he was represented by a Bamako-based friend, Bambouri Diabate.

Coach Nagbe attributed his absence at the wedding to a plan he had to resume training for the national team.
Meanwhile, the wedding reception was held on Sunday, January 7, 2006 at the NV Massaquoi School in West Point with a number of personalities present.

Prominent among them were the Vice President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Adolph Lawrence, Moustapha Raji, Executive Committee of the LFA, Benedict Wreh, Lone Star Administrative Manager and the Chief Clerk of the House of Representative, James Kaba.

Coach Nagbe met his bride when he traveled with the Lone Star to partake in the 2002 African Nations Cup finals.
