Liberian Striker Frank Seator sends Perak out of FA Cup

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Liberian striker Frank J. Seator turned hero against Perak in an FA Cup second round, second-leg match at the Shah Alam Stadium last night.
He fired home the first goal and set up the second goal for Mohd Safee Sali, winner in a 2-1 win for the Red Giants to advance to the quarter-finals 6-5 on aggregate.

Perak put the pressure on Selangor with a goal by Mario Estaban in the 44th minute. But Liberian striker Frank Seator levelled the score in the 65th minute and set up Safee who nailed the winner five minutes from time.

Safee and another national striker, Indra Putra Mahayuddin, who stirred a controversy when they broke national camp prematurely on Wednesday, had little to offer in the first half.

The other two national strikers who also walked out of camp, Akmal Rizak Rakhli and Amirulhadi Zainal, were on the bench.

The Perak engine room, driven by skipper Mohd Shahrul Azahar and Mohd Hardi Jaafar, won the battle in midfield and enjoyed greater possession.

Perak were not safe even when they took the lead because Selangor would still advance on the away goals rule with an equaliser. Their worst fears came true when Seator drew the Red Giants level.

Perak coach Steve Darby in a desperate move brought in their top striker, Carlos Caceres, with less than 20 minutes of play left on the clock. But the Chilean hitman, who has 15 goals to his credit, could not find the net.

In the end, Seator made Selangor the clear winner.

According to Seator's 's agent, Ricky B. Swen jr. Frank Seator is a true professional footballer. Mr. Swen who is also the CEO of kubba fashion, www.kubbafashion.net a Singapore base sports wear company, said, Seator is the hottest foreign striker in Malaysia presently, with 26 goals in all competitions.

I am not surprise to see my boy Frank playing and scoring like that. Frank is a true professional. He respect nature and so he is getting good results.

He can call his phone at home on the landline at any time 8pm and Frank willl pick up the phone. He it alwasys at home, relaxing, and with his family. So it is not a surprise to see him scoring and also playing very well as Man of the match in most of Selangor matches.

In Paroi, Terengganu made short work of Negri Sembilan Naza ?winning the second-leg match 4-1 to advance 5-1 on aggregate.

And they netted two more goals in stoppage time with Zairo getting his second in the 90th and Ashari Shamsuddin going on target two minutes later.
