"Liberia Can Produce Another George Weah"...KK Calls For
More Investment

Sports promoter Kerkula Kamara
One of Liberia's long serving sports promoter Kerkula Kamara
has emphasized that with the number of talents the country
is now blessed with, Liberia can still produce another
classical player like George Manneh Weah in not too far
distance.
Mr. Kamara spoke yesterday to journalists in Monrovia when
he noted that if players in the country will remain
committed and disciplined to the cause of the game, the
country stands a better chance of being a big competitor on
the continent.
According to Mr. Kamara alias 'KK', hard work and dedication
on the part of the players are also important in securing
their football career in future, stressing that Liberia has
one of the richest soil of breeding football talents.
He praised some of the local players for being up to the
task, but noted that when the legs of Weah and other
successful Liberian players made headlines, they definitely
put the game first and made all other things second.
As for him, in the next two years, and with the commitment
from the Liberian players regardless of where they played
their trade, the country will see a new George Weah.
In addition, KK said that the game needs small investments
so as to buttress the effort of the players reaching the
top. He added that with the general support of every
Liberian towards the growth of the game, Liberia can in no
time produce some of the continent's bests.
Mr. Kamara stressed that financial investment is key to the
progress of every athlete; therefore he encouraged those
with good financial backing to assist the development of the
sports by contributing to the progress of clubs in players.
Because as he said, “If you invest in football, you invest
in a process of producing a million dollar |
