The Liberia football association is grieving the loss of one
of its 18-member executive committee members, Moses Dargba,
who succumbed to the cold hands of death on Sunday July 1,
2012 at the JFK Medical center in Sinkor in Monrovia
following a relatively short period of illness.
EC Dargba, who was elected in March 2010 as one of two
representatives of the premier division, served as Chairman
of the Security Committee of the LFA, a vital standing
committee within the football house.
The hushed but workaholic EC was the longest serving Team
Manager of the LPRC Oilers Sports Association. He became
president of the Association in September 2008 up to his
demise.
The Football House, led by Musa Bility, is deeply saddened
over the loss of EC Dargba whose remains have been deposited
at the renowned local mortuary, Stryker funeral parlors in
Sinkor in Monrovia.
The LFA says EC Dargba’s bereavement is a major blow to the
running of football in Liberia; he will be missed for his
ardent love of sports in general and football in particular.
As EC member representing premier division, Dargba was
always important to sound decision making, especially at the
level of the security committee.
Funeral rites will be announced soon. |
