The Liberia Football Association has announced it would delay by some
days renovation works at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
The delay is to give way for the holding of a musical concert on April
15 at the stadium
The football house had earlier set April 14 as the date for the
closure of the stadium.
The LFA took the decision during an emergency executive committee
meeting on Saturday.
A statement said after a thorough investigation, the body gathered
that the Crusaders for Peace made legitimate payment for the usage of
the facility.
The renovation works at the ATS will see the removal of the current
artificial turf and it will be replaced with a more modern type.
Other features at the stadium would also be renovated.
Meanwhile, Star Radio has gathered that materials for the renovation
works at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium have not arrived in the
country.
A senior insider at the LFA told Star Radio the materials have not
even left Europe.
