Indian top flight outfit Kalighat Malin FC has signature
Liberian international forward James Strongman Gbilee on a
one year deal.
Kalighat Milan Sangha was founded in 1944 in Kolkata and has
since grown step by step from district to state to national
level. In January 2012, it was officially certified by the
All Indian Football Federation to participate in the
I-League 2nd Division, the second tier of football in India
Gbilee is expected to produce wonderful football magic this
season as he did for his former club Shillong Lajong F.C
last season.
James has been a top name in Indian football since he
arrived there few seasons ago; the Liberian won the Indian
2nd Division champions in 2010 with his former team Shillong
Lajong F.C.
The forward soccer skills displayed during a test game
against the Liberian national football team last year in
Monrovia caused fans of Lone Star to demand former Lone Star
coach Roberto Landi to include the forward on his listing,
but he said “I will include James for the next game because
it is too late now for inclusion, but he is a wonderful
player’ Landi noted last year. |
