Former Lone Star Captain Joe Nagbe has been appointed as Head Coach of
the Under 20 National team of the country.
Joe Nagbe will head a three man technical staff set up by the Liberia
Football Association.
Others appointed are Francis Sarploh as Deputy Head Coach and former
National team goal keeper Pewu Bestman as goalkeeper trainer.
The former Lone Star central defender replaces the winless Francis
Tamba.
According to LFA Acting Secretary General Sam Bedford, the three man
technical staff will operate for a period of three months.
He however felt short of stating the criteria used in selecting the
coaches by the Technical Committee but assured that they were selected
based upon their successes with their various clubs.
Joe Nagbe coaches local premiership side FC AK Liberia who finished
12th during the first phase of the league.
His Deputy, Francis Sarploh manages Monrovia Club Breweries another
premier outfit who finished 4th during the first phase of the league.
Lone Star’s goalkeeper Pewee Bestman is managing no club in the
country but his achievements and experience between the goalposts
could help the young lads.
