Home based national team begins camp in Monrovia

By Henry Flomo

It has been the wish of many, home and abroad. It has been anticipated by all, administrators and athletes. Now it is here, and it has honestly begun.

The home based (male contingent) of the national team of Liberia has commenced a long term camp in Congo town, Monrovia under the watchful eyes of Acting Head coach and one time Liberia international Thomas Kojo.

The local contingent moved to camp Monday 30 January2012.
Twenty two local players are at the center of the camp, which is ahead of both the 2013 African Nations cup and 2014 world cup qualifiers.

Local football house leader Musa Hassan Bility insists fitness and concentration on the part of the pitch actors are unequivocally cardinal to success. Speaking recently, Bility said his administration will stress to limits to discharge financial requirements for the camp.

Hear Bility: if you can recall the national team was last year excellent against Mali in Monrovia in the last qualifiers of the current Nations cup simply because we had the players in training for a longer period. We much continue this fashion if our national team is to make further inroads reminiscent of the “George Weah Eleven”.

Against decorative posture, the innovative LFA president has put a challenge of support to the camp campaign to all well-meaning and football lovers by making available his Guest House as the initial home for the camp.

The local based side, before entering actual business, will face Nigeria on 15 February 2012 in Monrovia in a friendly.
