Former mighty Barrolle striker Freeman Mulbah was on target
for his club Thika United in the Kenyan Premier league on
Sunday. But, despite the goal his club still went down to
the hosts Nairobi City Stars 3-2 in the final match to end
the first phase of the 16 teamsí competition.
According to the KPL website, Freeman and co went behind as
early as the 10th minute when George Odari broke the
deadlock. Freeman then replied in the 37th minute.
However, the City side got the second goal through Basweti and then
Francis Thairu got the third before Thika reduced the

The win puts City to the 11th spot while Thika remains at
the 4th spot with the second phase expected to kick off on
June 23. Thika United also have other two Liberian import in
the rugged defender Dirkir Glay and sublime wide man Morris
Dukuly in their fold.
