Free State
Stars sign Liberian international Herron Berrian
Free State Stars has completed the signing of Liberian
international striker Herron Berrian from Invincible Eleven
FC in Monrovia.
Berrian, who is 18, is the vice captain of the Liberian
Under-20 national team and has three caps for the senior
national team.
"Herron is now an official player for Free State Stars after
signing a two-year contract with the team," the player's
agent, Godwin Emmanuel of Gzedsports Management, confirms.
"As I speak to you now all the paperwork regarding his
transfer is sorted and he will be wearing jersey no. 33."
Berrian is already touted as an excellent replacement for
Edward Manqele, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns this season.
However, when asked whether he could emulate Manqele, the
Liberian international would not commit himself: "I don't
want to put unecessary pressure on myself, but all I want to
tell you is that 'impossible is nothing'.
"I am glad to have joined such an ambitious club with good
players and a great technical staff, who have been very
supportive since I arrived in South Africa."
