Berekum Chelsea Mistreated LISCR FC

Liberia’s football champion LISCR FC encountered several
unwelcoming attitudes from their Ghanaian host Berekum
Chelsea last weekend.
LISCR FC arrived at the Kotoka International airport on
Friday by Delta Airline at 8:13pm and was taken to the
Lincoln Hotel located in the Achimota district of Accra, the
capital of Ghana and the team was served rice and fired
chicken by 10pm that night
LISCR FC left the Lincoln Hotel on Saturday morning for the
Kotoka International Airport to fly to Kumasi by CityLink
Airline. The Ghanaian intentional refused to buy the tickets
for the team to fly to Sunyani that is closer to the Berekum
stadium name Golden City Park.
Berekum Chelsea downplayed the Sunyani Airport flight by
buying tickets for the team to fly to Kumasi, the team
arrived at the Kumasi Airport by 12noon and was taken to
Berekum by Berekum Chelsea Under-20 bus and the distance was
covered within three hours.
The Liberians was taken to the GNAIT Hotel in the Berekum
district and the hotel is a substandard hotel. The never had
customers for days before LISCR FC checked and the rooms’
aromas were unpleasant.
Players of LISCR FC asked the hotel workers for air fresher
to change the aromas of the rooms.
The team requested Berekum Chelsea to change the hotel
because of the damaged that was caused by the rain. The
rooms were likening waters from the roofs during the time of
the rain that day.
The room that was occupied by the Journalists that were on
the tripped was badly damaged from the strom that brought
the glass window down.
Berekum Chelsea then asked the players of LISCR FC to packed
the luggage’s and get on the bus to the next hotel.
LISCR FC left the GANIT Hotel at 7pm after their training
session and spend one hour thirty minutes in the bus riding
from one point to another, the team was taken to the Eusbett
Hotel finally by 10PM.
LISCR FC never had enough time to rest from the Kumasi
airport on Saturday morning. The Eusbett Hotel is located
45minutes drive from the Golden City Park, where the match
was played on Sunday.
After the game on Saturday the team returned to the Eusbett
Hotel and spent the night there, LISCR FC flight to Accra
was not organized and book on time.
The inability of Berekum Chelsea to arrange the Liberians
journey back to Accra resulted into some of the players
spending six hours at the Kumasi Airport from 12Noon to 6pm.
The Golden City Park playing pitch is unsmooth, small and
bumpy for football match, the players of LISCR FC and
officials of the team were wondering how CAF approved the
playing pitch to host International game.
