| BEN TEEKLOH

May 28,2003
An average height player who is easily
mistaken for Arsenal’s Patrick Vieira not only because of resemblance
in their facial appearance, but also in their similarity of works
mostly.
Ben Teekloh is one of George Weah's accepted Liberian players and
despite his age, George Weah recruited him into the senior national
team in 2001.
As a member of the 2002 African Nations Cup Liberia National team, Ben
Teekloh is among the few multi-purpose players Liberia can vouch of.
A utility player you might call him, but he is able to line-up in any
defensive role, as a full midfielder or a cum-midfielder.
He’s a defender because of his sweeping roles and ability to wrestle
and dispossess his opponents at great simplicity.
He’s a full midfielder because he is able to spread acute defense
splitting passes and ability to juggle the ball with great pace in the
thick and thin of the game.
Most appreciatively, Ben doesn’t only play as the coach instructs, he
plays as the tempo of game dictates, which makes most coaches
comfortable with him.
