Barrolle Remains Unstoppable
By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.
Mighty Barrolle continued its fine run in the 2006 National League
of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) over the weekend.
On Sunday, May 21, 2006, the Red Boys, who are now being headed by
the former Chairman of the Grand Bassa County LFA Sub-Committee,
Garmondeh Karnga, overcame struggling Mark Pros, who are just
returning to the soccer pitch after few years of absence.
Mighty Barrolle beat Mark Pros 1-0 at the Doris Williams sports
pitch in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, an area that has now become a
slaughterhouse for opponents of the Red Boys.
No team has beaten Mighty Barrolle in Grand Bassa County since the
club chose the area as home ground.
The match was originally scheduled for the early stage of the season
but had to be called off due to international engagement. |
