This is no secret that during the regime of Mr. Zoegar
Wilson, former Mighty Barrolle goalkeeper as President of
the Trenton Chapter, the red and white outfit received
massive support under Mr. Garmondeh Karnga as President of
the Rollers.
But keen followers of the Liberia Football Association (LFA)
defending champions are keen to know why such support is not
forthcoming.
According to a reliable source from the United States of
America (USA), the base of Trenton chapter, two ladies
identified as Euphemia Bryant and Welleh Blay, who are
members of Trenton chapter visited the players in Liberia in
April and June last year to find out as to whether there
were supports coming for them from the Trenton chapter.
The reports say some of the players told them that they were
not receiving the money the Trenton chapter was sending from
the states and when they (the ladies) went back to the
states, this information was spread in Trenton and
detractors of the Chapter capitalized on it and accused the
leadership headed by Mr. Wilson of eating 10, 000USD.
This 10, 000USD was the total amount sent to Liberia during
the administration of the former Barrolle goal tender for a
little over two years to pay players salaries.
Our source said the lack of support coming from the USA for
the Rollers are attributed to some of the players. The
reports say this was discouraging for some of those who were
assisting to support the players.
“The false information from those two ladies has affected
the players’ support,” a member of Trenton Chapter noted.
According to reports, the President of Barrolle, Madam Julia
Cassell was in the states and met with the Trenton Chapter
as well as other supporters of Mighty Barrolle and appealed
for support.
The reports further say the Trenton chapter has promised to
send the administration some funds this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Trenton chapter wants to admonish the players
to kindly work with the administration of Madam Cassell and
will do everything possible to assist them.
“Let us stop giving false information to people who come to
Liberia from Trenton,”a member of Trenton warned.
At the same time, all efforts to contact the two ladies,
Euphemia Bryant and Welleh Blay did not work, but our
investigation continues.
