Players of Liberia Football Association (LFA)
premier outfit, Mighty Barrolle have been given the biggest motivation
after the United States of America (USA) based Trenton Chapter of the
red and white outfit, headed by former goaltender, Zoegar Wilson, paid
players of the Rollers for several months.
Despite being defeated by team of the moment and
LFA premiership league leader, LPRC Oilers in Buchanan, the United
States based chapter noted that it would be a sign of motivation to
pay players their salaries as they battle for the title chase.
In an interview with reporters shortly after he
paid the players, the Roller’s President, Mr. Garmondeh Karnga hailed
the USA Chapter of Barrolle and described their effort as the right
one at the right time.
The LFA Sub-Association Chairman, Cochairman on
competitions as well as Executive Committee member said, the USA based
Trenton chapter, headed by hard working Wilson had always come to the
aid of Barrolle whenever the need arises.
He said, the amount sent to pay players will
serve as one of the biggest motivations as the team gears to keep the
title hope alive.
“I want to extend my thanks and appreciations to
the USA Trenton Chapter of Barrolle for coming to our aid to pay
players of the club for several months.
‘This we believe will serve as a boost and
motivation for us as we gear up to keep the title dream alive.
“Special thanks go to Mr. Wilson, who over the
years has stood his ground in making sure that the USA Trenton
Chapter’s presence is felt her in Liberia.
“We want to thank him and his Chapter and that
the money has been used for its intended purpose,” Barrolle boss
Karnga noted in a happier mood.
As for the players, through their Captain, Nuzohn
Kulala, also heaped praises on the USA Trenton Chapter for their
concern and said the playing body would reward the Chapter with the
LFA premiership championship.
“Motivation is the best a player or a team would
pray for and this is what the Trenton chapter has given us.
“As players, the best reward we can give such
benevolence Chapter is to clinch the championship and dedicate it to
them.
“We are on course for the championship despite
the defeat sustained at the hands of Oilers in Buchanan,” Captain
fantastic as he is widely called by players and fans of the Rollers
noted.
Some players who were at Barrolle’s headquarter
on Clay Street in Monrovia during the first day of payment were
Captain fantastic Nuzohn Kulala, goalies Samuel Cooper and Tom Nimely,
Archie Harvey, alias Wright Philips, Hallie Lahai, Samuel Tisdell,
Arthur Jerry, Sam Peters, Wilfred Greenfield, Sam Andrews and Kpah
Sherman.
Others included Vice Captain Little Lewis, newly
signed Ivorian midfielder Johnson, Julius Nah, alias Essien, Seh
Coleman, Weaka Wisseh and Peter Diggs.
Barrolle is expected to battle point donors
Devereux FC on Sunday in continuation of the LFA premiership.
The biggest question now is: Can the Rollers pull
a win after two straight defeats at the hands of youthful outfit Gedi
and Son and league leader Oilers?
Can the paying of players’ salaries by the USA
based Trenton chapter serve as boost for the title chase? Sunday is
the answer.
