Barrolle Not Prepared

Former Mighty Barrolle defender Washington Blay

 By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

Former Mighty Barrolle defender Washington Blay has declared that the club is not prepared to participate in the pending CAF Champions League.

As champions of the last national league, Mighty Barrolle will take on Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast, but Blay has differed with the decision to register the Rollers in the competition.

He suggested that money to be spent for the team's participation should have rather being used to develop the players and even contract foreign based players to boost the morale of the national league.

Otherwise, Blay, known popularly as Defense Minister, said Barrolle would be going to the competition as a mere participant.

He frowned on the club for allowing some players to travel out of the country to seek greener pasture ahead of the Red Boys' quest to make an impact in the CAF Champions League.
