Latest reports gathered by this paper have indicated that players of Liberia Football Association (LFA) premiership defending champions, Mighty Barrolle have decided to boycott the ongoing championship in demand of their three months salary as well as materials.

According to the spokesman of the players as well as technical staff, they have not received salary for the past three months as well as football materials to boost their chance of retaining the championship.

The players told this paper that they signed contracts to be paid US$50.00 monthly and supply of materials.

According to the players, the new Mighty Barrolle leadership headed by Grand Bassa County Superintendent, Julia Jassell, who just returned from the United States of America, has refused to live up to the big promise which is serving as an impediment for the Rollers to battle for the championship.

Barrolle was force to a 1-1 draw by LISCR FC on Tuesday at the Anthony Tubman Stadium (ATS) in what pundits termed as poor officiating from LFA Chief Referee, Ebenezer Stanley Konah.

The players said it was one of the west moments of their career after management failed to offer them their regular offers and force more than eight players in a Taxi and rushed them for the LISCR match.

“Just imagine we have to play the match without food and had to borrow boots to play,” one angry player blasted.

The team is expected to battle struggler United Soccer Ambassador Football Club (USA FC) on Friday in continuation of the LFA Premiership.

But the player said they will not honor the match if their demands are not met.

“We will not honor the match on Friday until the new management sees reason to settle us,” the players’ spokesman noted.

According to the reports, the technical staff headed by newly appointed coach, Waka Henry has backed the players’ action.

Meanwhile, all efforts to contact Mighty Barrolle officials failed up to press time.

The Secretary General and Team Manager phones were off.
