In Lfa League:
 Barrolle, LISCR FC Draw, 1-1

May 8, 2003

Monrovia

Yesterday, Mighty Barrolle and LISCF FC played to a pulsating 1-1 draw at the ATS in continuation of the LFA Premier League.

LISCR FC which needed a win to keep her campaign pulled the first blood in the first half through Hoff Fannoh amidst cheers from spectators.

Barrolle sensing the danger the LISCR lead would have on their team mounted pressure which paid off in the second half when newly signed Takpoh Sonkarliey shot from 20 yards which LISCR goalie fumbled over for the equalizer.

From that point, both teams threatened each other. But the technical judgement of Barrolle coaches rubbed them of the needed victory. Instead of Barrolle playing natural attackers, Takpoh Sonkarliey Frederick Vah, who usually play in central midfield had to move up front.

Some Barrolle fans were disappointed with the result taking into consideration the caliber of players the team acquired this season.

The man of the man was Takpoh Sonkarliey for Barrolle, while LISCR Man of the match was their number 6 player Anthony  Lanford.

The game was the second for both teams in the Premier League. Barrolle won her first game 1-0 against Alliance FC, while LISCR lost to LPRC Oilers, 2-1.
